Post Op Breast Cancer Reconstruction11/05/2010 |
Hi, It has been 7 months since I have had reconstctive breast surgery. This was done because of cancer. Healing was difficult. My doctor used my back muscles for this as well as the V flap. Last week my right breast started to swell and icing it helps just a tiny bit. If I use my arms eg sweeping it swells more. Can you help me understand what is going on? There is little pain in my breasts, but a lot in my back. Thank you so much.
More information is needed to answer your question. Is the problem in the reconstructed breast? If so, this question needs to go to a Plastic or Reconstructive surgeon to answer. If the problem is in your own breast (non-cancer side), then send the question back with additional information and I will answer.
