Bleeding and Clotting Disorders

Protein C Deficiency and Coumadin

My 22 year-old son was diagnosed last year with a Protein C Deficiency and takes coumadin every day (7.5 mg). Should we be concerned over the long-term use of this blood-thinning drug?

Coumadin has really been around for some time, and is thought to be safe as long as he is being monitored carefully with INRs.
