Nightmares after Surgery05/02/2011 |
my grandaughter..five..had her tonsils out a week ago and has since been waking throught the night crying and yelling saying she doesnt know what is wrong just that she must be having nightmares...can this be a side affect? this hasnt happened before
There's a good chance this is just related to the pain from her surgery. This pain can last easily for 10 days to 2 weeks, and certainly could be disturbing her sleep. If the problem continues beyond another week or two, I would consult your pediatrician.
