07/01/2011

Question:

Question: what does it mean, when the impression reads: MCL complex is intact. There is abnormal diffuse signal seen in posterior horn medial meniscus. This approaches but does not clearly contact the articular surface and is most likley due to edema/ degeneration without a focal tear. A small tear is likely but possible. The remainder of the menisci appears intact, as the ACL and PCL.
