4 year old girl when she pees it sprays everywere gets her butt wet.She almost needs a bath or at least wiping all over that area and her butt it sprays like a leaking sprinkler
A spraying urinary stream in a young girl can be due to a few different things. One possibility would be a labial adhesion where the inner labia become fused and can obstruct or deflect the outflow of urine from the bladder. A cyst located near the urethra may also deflect the stream. A careful examination by your pediatrician is the best initial approach and then the doctor can decide if a subspecialty consultation is warranted. Occasionally an exam under anesthesia with an inspection of the bladder with a small telescope ("cystoscopy") may be needed to further evaluate the anatomy.
