Physical Therapy for Walking with Parkinson`s08/30/2011 |
My husband has had Parkinson`s for 11 years and in the past year has had trouble walking. Would he benefit from physical therapy or is there nothing that can be done?
Physical therapy focusing on walking, balance and also fall prevention can be helpful for individuals with Parkinson's disease. In addition, there are some therapists certified in a specific technique call BIG therapy which is another option.
